Heart Broken: our sin affects the heart of GodNew Series on the Minor Prophets begins January 8.There is a common theme throughout the 12 Minor Prophets – the heart of God.God uses these prophets, from Hosea to Malachi, to wake His people up with very vivid, loud, colorful messages. As He directs the words of these prophets, we get a glimpse of God’s emotions, His passions for His people. What we find can be surprising. What we find should stop us in our tracks. Our sin, our failure to live as God has commanded, our willful disobedience, hurts the heart of God. As God’s children living here today, we must stop ignoring the impact of our actions on the heart of God. Our sin affects the heart of God.

That being said, children are welcome in our service. It is our practice to let parents and children decide what level of participation they feel comfortable with on Sunday’s. We provide a church time class for children to be excused from the worship service (called children’s church) should you desire. You can ask for more information about that as you enter the building. Though we won’t announce your name in lights or have a terribly embarrassing moment in our service where we recognize you as our guests, we can’t help it when our members introduce themselves, say hello, and ask you about yourself. As pastors, we would love an opportunity to meet you. You can find us in the lobby after the service. Generally, we are pretty easy to spot, but if you are having trouble finding us, just ask the baldest person where a pastor is. Chances are good you just found one of us!After you leaveIf you would fill out the tear off in our weekly program, and include a phone number or an email address, one of our Pastors would love to contact you, just to say hello, and make sure your visit was a pleasant one. If you have any questions for us, whether it be more about the history of New Song, more about what New Song believes, or even if you have a question about something you saw or heard on Sunday, send Pastor Frank an email, and he’ll get back to you quickly.Thank you for stopping in on us. We trust that God will continue to faithfully lead you in your search for a church. If we can be of assistance, don’t hesitate to ask!

Our beliefs:1. We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men and the divine authority for all Christian faith and life.2 Tim 3:16-17 2 Pet 1:20-21 John 17:172. We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.Deut 6:4 Matt 28:18–19 John 17:11 Matt 3:16–17 3. We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died on the cross a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where at the right hand of the Majesty on high, He is now our High Priest and Advocate.Matt 1:18–22 1 Pet 2:24 Eph 1:7 1 Pet 1:3–5 4. We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and during this age to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, and indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and service.John 14:16–17; 16:8–11,14 Rom 8:9 1 Cor 12:3 5. We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost, and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.Gen 1:26–27 Rom 3:22–23; 5:12 1 Tim 2:5 6. We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only grounds for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as received Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit, and thus become children of God.Eph1:7; 2:8–10 John 1:12 1 Pet 1:18–19 Acts 2:22–24 7. We believe that water baptism and the Lord’s Supper are the ordinances to be observed by the church during the present age. They are, however, not to be regarded as means of salvation.Matt 28:19–20 Acts 2:41–42 Rom 6:3–4 1 Cor 11:23–26 8. We believe that the true Church is composed of all such persons who have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and have placed saving faith in Jesus Christ and thus are united together in the body of Christ, of which He is the head.Titus 3:5-7 1 Cor 12:12–14 Acts 2:42–47 Rom 12:5 9. We believe that only those who are thus members of the true Church, shall be eligible for membership in the local church.Acts 2:41, 47 1 Cor 1:2, 9; 12:12-14 Heb 10:2510. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord and head of the church, and that every local church has the right, under Christ, to decide and govern its own affairs.Acts 13:1–4 Acts 15:19-31 Acts 20:28 1 Pet 5:1–4 11. We believe in the personal and imminent coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and that this “Blessed Hope” has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer.John 14:1–3 Acts 1:11 Titus 2:11–14 1 John 3:2–3 12. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead; of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord; of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.1 Cor 15 Luke 16:19-26 Matt 25:46 Rev 21:1–3

Our ServicesWeekly Celebration Service – Sunday at 9 amSunday School Classes – Sunday at 10:45 amVisiting a new church can be intimidating: What should I wear? Where do I park? Where do my kids go? We understand the many questions that can come from visiting a new church, so we want you to feel completely comfortable when you visit. Before you arriveSo, you’re going to check us out? What will you wear?! Please know, we aren’t concerned with what you are wearing when you join us…we just want you to join us. In the summertime, it's not uncommon to see people wearing sandals, shorts, and a shirt. Others prefer to still put on their "Sunday best," and that's fine too! We think you'll fit in no matter how you dress. We encourage people to bring a Bible if they have one. If not, Bibles are provided as you enter the sanctuary for your convenience. When you arriveIf you pull to the front of the building, near the flag pole, you will see that we have a number of spots reserved just for you, our guest. Please take advantage of those! While you’re hereIt can be intimidating walking into our building, so we have greeters prepared to give you a warm smile, a program, and to help you get to where you are going. So, where are you going? If you have small children, we would encourage you to take full advantage of our nurseries. We have a great nursery and children’s program that is staffed by safe, caring and creative people. That being said, children are welcome in our service. It is our practice to let parents and children decide what level of participation they feel comfortable with on Sunday’s.
